Austenitic stainless steels, despite their resistance to corrosion, have low yield strength. One of the most effective ways to increase the degree of performance without impairing good ductility is grain refinement. Austenitic stainless steels do not exhibit any transformation during deformation in hot, so that grain refinement can be achieved only by recrystallization. Using these processes, grain refinement is limited to 10 microns [1,2]. Therefore, austenitic stainless steels are commonly subjected to cold deformation in order to increase strength. However, austenitic stainless steels is magnetic after cold deformation sufficient due to the formation of stress induced martensite. These steels are known for their lack of property magnetic first tangible characteristics, when these steels are compared with ferritic and martensitic stainless steels. Therefore, these steels can not use more like non-magnetic materials [3].
A heuristic grain refining is called deformation induced martensitic transformation and its reversion to austenite (Simtra) has been invented. In this process, the metastable austenite could be almost completely transformed?-Martensite during the cold deformation and subsequent reversion of martensite to austenite grain refinement allows marking. Therefore, processing parameters must be carefully controlled for more than 90% of cold deformation martensite [1]. Moreover, the conditions must be carefully controlled annealing in order to obtain a fine grain structure fully austenitic [2].
In the first article, the effect of working temperature cold, the amount of strain, strain rate and initial austenite grain size in the volume fraction of stress induced martensite alloy in stainless steel AISI 301 was modeled using artificial neural networks (ANN) [1]. In the second paper, the effect of temperature tempering and time reversal of stress induced martensite to austenite in the cold worked AISI 304 steel alloy was modeled by means of RNA [2]. In the third paper, the effect of temperature stress and strain in the volume fraction of stress induced martensite in the cold worked steel steel AISI 304 was modeled by the ANN. Moreover, the corresponding grain refining zone and the deformation zone of safety (for the preservation of assets non-magnetic properties in cold working) is determined from this model [3].
Ann is a powerful tool for modeling, especially when the underlying data relationships between inputs and outputs are unknown. ANN modeling can overcome some of the difficulties associated with standard methods. For example, it is necessary to choose a (physical) relationship between the parameters before analysis [1-3].
