What a wonderful alternative to taking underwater pictures. I was looking into purchasing underwater housing case for my Sony Cybershot DSCW100 8.1MP Digital Camera with 3 x Optical Zoom which would of cost me almost $200 and I was also looking at underwater cameras which are way too expensive for me to consider. This is a terrific way to protect your camera from water, sand and even snow. I quickly tried it at home when I received it and YES BY GOLLY no water or moisture was inside the case! The optical lens sometimes does interfere with the camera's zooms lens. Check out the pictures I posted so you can see for yourself how crystal clear the pictures look. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Here is something I found that was helpful since the description does not list the camera's that are compatible:

DicaPac WP310 Case will fit the following brands:

CANON:
IXUS 970IS/960IS/950IS/900Ti/800IS/750/700/500/430
IXY 500/600/700/800IS/810IS/820IS/1000/2000IS
POWERSHOT SD 500/550/700IS/850IS/890IS/900/950IS/S500/410

CASIO:
Exlilim
QV-R 3/4/40/41/51/61
EX-Z 10/100/110/120/200

PENTEX:
Optio 30/50/60/330/430/300RS/430RS/E30/T30/X/S40/45/50/55/60

SONY:
CYBERSHOT DSC P100/120//150/200/W100/S800

I only listed a few of the camera brands but I was able to find the entire list on the company's website - which by the way sells the cases for much more than Amazon's price.
Perfect alternative to expensive hard cases

I agree with everything Lowell Carter said. I bought this for a Caribbean cruise and didnt want to spend $150 for a hard case. It fit the Canon Powershot SD890IS perfectly. The only gripe I have is being able to zoom...it's quite difficult with the Canon, but otherwise I'm really glad I bought this for our trip. it was great for the beach as well to simply keep sand out of the camera. you can just unscrew the lens cap to avoid any of the black rings being in your pics when you are on dry land.
Works great, especially after some practice!

I was very happy to find this water-proof case for my camera as I had been thinking of buying a specific waterproof digital camera but this was much more affordable! I have a Canon Power Shot A1100 IS, and although at the time I couldn't find which models this worked for, I simply measured my camera and picked out the DICAPac model as per the measurements listed and it worked great.

When you read the instructions, you'll find that they recommend to perform a waterproof test first with a tissue prior to using it with your camera. That gave me additional confidence that it was safe for my camera.

It was a snug fit for my camera, but not a problem really, I just had to patiently work it in. My main purpose is just to take underwater pool shots of my kids. I found it's really hard to see the digital display on my camera when I'm underwater and in the bright sunlight. I don't think that's a fault of this case though, it's just the limitations of an LCD screen in the bright bright sun... and then add to that trying to view it under water wearing goggles. I found that after some practice I got much better at it and am very happy with my purchase.
Worked Great for Snorkeling & Beach

Reviewer: SGH,
I purchased the DiCAPac 310 to use with my Canon SD850is. I used the product on the beach and on three different snorkeling trips while on a Western Caribbean Cruise. Before leaving home, I tested the pack in the kitchen sink with a paper towel inside to start with, rather than my camera. Worked great, so tested with the camera. I always triple checked the ziplock type seal and the velcro seals before each use. Never had a drop of water inside!

The side dial on my camera was difficult to switch once in the pack, so I usually left it on automatic, although I did change to video mode a couple of times. As some people stated, if not holding the camera just right, there were about 3 shots of my 75-100 that had a black ring on. Just getting used to it helped a lot. Zooming was a little difficult at first, but got easier the more experienced I became.

The directions that come with the DiCAPac aren't the clearest, but I figured them out. I didn't need the extender ring (that is supplied) for use with my camera. Someone else on one of our snorkel excursions commented that they wished they had gotten a pack like ours as theirs didn't have a dedicated spot for the lens to zoom out, so he was having trouble with that on his flat bag.

For $25 this was a great product for what I wanted it for. I never went down more than 8-10 feet, so well within the suggested safe range. I would highly recommend this product. Just always double or triple check your seals before jumping in.

Great Product!
